Wolverines knock off Salt Lake CC

3rd ranked San Bernardino beat Salt Lake Community College in day one action at the Mesa Fiesta Bowl Junior College shootout 55-50. San Bernardino (17-2) handed 4th ranked (NJCAA) Salt Lake their first loss of the season. Charles Callison scored 16 points, and Todd Lewis added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Wolverines in the win. San Bernardino overcame a 30% shooting night to pick up the victory. Desean Parsons led Salt Lake with 14 points and 6 rebounds in the loss. San Bernardino will face Central Arizona College (11-2) tomorrow at 8pm in the semi finals of the prestigious tournament.

College of the Canyons Tournament -Santa Clarita, CA

(13) Canyons 80 Barstow 66

13th ranked Canyons (8-4) led by 3 at the break and pulled away from Barstow in the 2nd half for a 80-66 victory Saturday evening. Coley Apsay had 16 points and 10 assist, and Chance Cole added 15 points for the Cougars in the win. Daylin Billingsley led Barstow (1-12) with 21 points and 9 rebounds.

Orange Coast 90 Los Angeles Trade Tech 69

Deion Page had 26 points and 11 rebounds and Brad Buchignani made 8 three pointers and had 26 points as Orange Coast (1-10) picked up their first win of the season with a victory over Los Angeles Trade Tech 90-69. Antonio Singleton led Trade Tech (3-10) with 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Tomorrow, Orange Coast will meet 13th ranked Canyons in the final and Los Angeles Trade Tech will battle Barstow in the consolation final.
