Week 11 Southern California Rankings


1. San Diego (20-2) The Knights remain at the top of our rankings after dismantling Cuyamaca last week 123-37 in their lone game of the week in their conference opener. The Knights are 11-1 against teams within our Signal The Light Basketball week 11 rankings. San Diego has won 13 straight games and will be in action twice this week as the Knights will face 8th ranked Grossmont on the road Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against Southwestern on Friday.

2. Citrus (18-3) The Owls remain at number two in our weekly rankings after picking up a win over Los Angeles Valley last week 83-60. Citrus has won four straight games and have a 3-3 record against teams within our weekly rankings. Citrus has been a solid team all season and the Owls will face 15th ranked Victor Valley on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game on Saturday against Glendale in Western State Conference East action.

3. San Bernardino (17-4) The Wolverines move up one spot in the rankings after picking up a 95-60 conference opening win over Palomar last week. San Bernardino has won four straight games since losing at the Fiesta Bowl Shootout in Arizona and the Wolverines are 7-1 against teams ranked in our current rankings. This week, the Wolverines will face Mira Costa on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with another road game against Desert on Friday.

4. East Los Angeles (15-4) The Huskies move up one spot in the rankings after crushing Santa Monica 100-74 at the Reggie Morris Showcase on Saturday. East Los Angeles has won six of their last seven and the Huskies have a 2-3 record against teams that are ranked in our current rankings. This week the Huskies will open up South Coast North Conference action as East Los Angeles will face Pasadena at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game in Walnut against Mt. San Antonio on Friday night.

5. Fullerton (14-5) The Hornets drop two spots after going 1-1 last week. Fullerton lost to Saddleback at home but followed the loss up with a home win over Cypress in Orange Empire Conference action. Fullerton is currently in a three way tie atop the Orange Empire Conference and the Hornets have a 3-4 record against teams ranked within our weekly rankings. This week, the Hornets will face off against 7th ranked Copper Mountain at home on Wednesday and then face off against 10th ranked Santiago Canyon on Friday on the road.

6. Cerritos (15-4) The Falcons stay put at number six in the rankings after knocking off Bakersfield 87-81 at the Reggie Morris Showcase last week. Cerritos has won five of their last six games and have a 3-4 record against teams within our weekly rankings. This week, the Falcons will open South Coast South Conference action as Cerritos will be on the road twice this week as they will face El Camino on Wednesday and then face Compton on Friday.

7. Copper Mountain (16-5) The Fighting Cacti move up one spot in the rankings after picking up wins against Irvine Valley and Riverside last week. Copper Mountain is in a three way tie for first place in the Orange Empire Conference and the Fighting Cacti have a 6-3 record against teams within our weekly rankings. This week, Copper Mountain will face 3rd ranked Fullerton on Wednesday in their lone game of the week.

8. Grossmont (12-6) The Griffins move up two spots in the rankings Grossmont slipped past San Diego Mesa 65-63. Grossmont has won three straight games after losing three streak games. Grossmont has a 1-5 record against teams that are ranked inside of our weekly rankings. This week the Griffins will face top ranked San Diego on Wednesday at home and follow that up with a road game against Imperial Valley on Friday.

9. Chaffey (12-7) The Panthers move up two spots in the rankings after picking up a 71-63 win over Los Angeles Southwest at the Reggie Morris Showcase over the weekend. Chaffey is 6-1 in their last seven games and the Panthers have a 1-4 record against teams that are ranked within our rankings. This week the Panthers will face Mt. San Antonio on the road in their South Coast North Conference opener and follow that up with a home game against Rio Hondo on Friday.

10. Santiago Canyon (14-5) The Hawks move down three spots in the rankings after suffering a home loss to Orange Coast in their lone game last week. Santiago Canyon is 1-2 against teams ranked within our rankings and the Hawks have started off 1-2 in Orange Empire Conference action. This week, the Hawks will travel to Mission Viejo and face Saddleback on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against 5th ranked Fullerton on Friday.

11. San Diego Miramar (13-6) The Jets drop two spots in the rankings after having a tough week as Miramar lost two straight games. San Diego Miramar lost to two unranked teams as the Jets lost to Los Angeles Valley and Mt. San Jacinto on the road but teams behind them lost as well. The Jets are 2-4 against teams ranked within our rankings and this week Miramar will face Desert at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Palomar on Friday in Pacific Coast North action.

12. Irvine Valley (12-7) The Lasers stay put at number 12, after going 1-1 last week in Orange Empire Conference action. Irvine Valley is 1-5 against teams that are in our rankings and the Lasers are 2-2 in OEC play. This week, Irvine Valley will be on the court one time as the Lasers will face Cypress on the road on Wednesday in their lone game of the week.

13. Ventura (13-7) The Pirates jump back into the rankings after picking up a win over Allan Hancock last week in their conference opener. Ventura has won 3 of 4 and the Pirates have a 3-3 record against teams that are ranked in our current rankings. This week the Pirates will have one game as Ventura will travel to Moorpark and face the Raiders on the road.

14. Orange Coast (12-7) The Pirates jump into the rankings for the first time this season as Orange Coast picked up wins against Santiago Canyon on the road and knocked off Saddleback at home 60-53 as the Pirates are one of three teams to top the Orange Empire Conference. The Pirates are 2-3 against teams that are ranked and this week Orange Coast will face off against Santa Ana on Wednesday on the road in their lone game of the week.

15. Victor Valley (11-6) The Rams stay in the rankings after suffering a setback against Glendale last week. Victor Valley is 1-4 against teams that are ranked within our current rankings and the Rams will be back in action this week as Victor Valley will face 2nd ranked Citrus at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Antelope Valley on Saturday night.
