Solano Tournament

In the first round of the Solano Tournament, Kyle Williams hit a game winning three pointer and Sacramento (2-2) picked up a 99-97 win over Los Medanos in first round action. Ryan Reed had 26 points and 14 rebounds, and Cinco Durr added 19 points and 8 assists in the win for the Panthers. Sacramento will face Reedley in the semi finals tomorrow at 5pm.

In other action in the first round, Jeron Bowers had 20 points and Ruben Parks added 14 points as Reedley (1-1) picked up their first win of the season with a 62-57 win over Shasta (1-2). Shasta will next face Los Medanos in the conosolation bracket at 1pm tomorrow.

In other action, American River (1-0) picked up a season opening win over Redwoods 80-72 to advance to the semi finals of the Solano Tournament. Donnely Stafford had 15 points and Kameron Lowe added 12 points in a losing effort for Redwoods (0-3). American River will face tournament host Solano in the semi finals at 7pm tomorrow night.

In the night cap, Leon Williams, and Trevaughn Ross each had 18 points as Solano (2-1) picked up a 81-68 win over Skyline (1-1). The Falcons will face off against American River in the semi finals. Skyline will face Redwoods in the consolation bracket tomorrow at 3pm.

Jonathan Wallace Memorial Tournament

In first round action at the Jonathan Wallace Tournament, Talili Lealea had 14 points and 7 rebounds, and Brad Sendell added 12 points and 4 rebounds as 15th ranked Monterey (3-1) picked up a 79-69 victory over Ventura. The Lobos will next face against 10th ranked Canada tomorrow in the semi finals.

In other action, Shane Carney had 23 points and 7 assists and Javae Lampkins added 22 points as Hancock (2-2) cruised to a 113-78 win over Marin to advance to the semi finals. Marin will next face Ventura in the consolation bracket.

In the third game of the night, Keith Dickerson had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Marcel Burton added 13 points as 10th ranked Canada (2-2) cruised past Lassen 93-64 to advance to the semi finals. 10th ranked Canada will face 15th ranked Monterey in a battle of ranked teams in Northern California.

In the final game of the night, Kai Winterling had 17 points and Bryce Thompson added 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists as Ohlone (1-0) won their home opener with a 79-70 win over Modesto (1-1). Jaron Dickson had 20 points and Nick Obazuaye added 15 points in the loss for the Pirates. Ohlone will next face Allan Hancock at 7pm tomorrow night. Modesto will take on Marin in the consolation bracket tomorrow at 3pm.

Fullerton Tournament

In the second day at the Fullerton Tournament in first round action, point guard Wonder Smith had 23 points and 4 assists and Ethan Esposito added 15 points as top ranked San Diego (4-0) got past 11th ranked Bakersfield 83-73 to advance to the semi finals. Jamar Hammonds had 17 points and 7 rebounds, and Shahadah Camp added 17 points in the loss for Bakersfield (2-2). The Renegades will face off against San Diego Mesa in the consolation bracket at 1pm tomorrow.

In game two of the night, Kyle Gray had 17 points and 15 rebounds, and Andrew Ammann added 12 points and 8 rebounds as 9th ranked Citrus (3-1) picked up a 76-54 win over San Diego Mesa (2-2). Morrie Neeley had 13 points and Armstrong Ojunkwu added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the loss for the Olympians. 10th ranked Citrus will next face off against top ranked San Diego tomorrow at 5pm.

Victor Valley Tournament

In day one of the Victor Valley Tournament, Zach Christian had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Nate Clark added 15 points 4 rebounds, and 3 assists as Victor Valley (1-0) opened their season up with a 102-70 win over Imperial Valley (1-3).

In the other match up in Victorville, Carlos Angel had 18 points and Damoni Jones added 15 points as Porterville (1-2) picked up their first win of the season with a 94-88 win over Barstow (0-4).

Cypress, CA – (12) Grossmont 61 Cypress 44

Ronald Blain scored 12 points and added 10 rebounds, and Kade Kygar added 11 points as 12th ranked Grossmont (3-1) picked up a 61-44 non conference road victory over Cypress (0-2) Thursday night. Randall Walker had 14 points and 4 rebounds and Mike Magee added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for the Chargers.

San Diego, CA – San Diego Miramar 122 Orange Coast 77

Ryan Michaels had 20 points, and Dallas Haupt added 15 points and four other Jets scored in double figures as Miramar (3-1) cruised past Orange Coast 122-77 on Thursday evening. Llyod Wright had 19 points and Kupaa Harrison added 17 points for Orange Coast (2-2).

Oceanside, CA – Mira Costa 78 Cuyamaca 51

Sophomore Cody Hicks had 15 points and Anthony Jensen added 14 points and the Spartans had 31 fast break points as Mira Costa (2-2) ran away with a 78-51 win over Cuyamaca (0-3).

Ukiah, CA – (7) Butte 78 Mendocino 70

7th ranked Butte (3-1) went on the road and picked up a 78-70 win over Mendocino on Thrusday night. Jamarlin Jackson had 30 points in the loss for Mendocino (0-1).

Compton, CA – Compton 91 Santa Monica 84

Jaylen Million had 22 points and L’kielynn Taylor added 18 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists as Compton (2-2) picked up a 91-84 win over Santa Monica in non conference action Thursday evening. Jhamad Norwood had 21 points and 19 rebounds and Joe Robinson added 15 points in the loss for Santa Monica (0-3).

Long Beach, CA – Long Beach 93 Santa Ana 89 (OT)

Jeremiah Sadler had 26 points and 8 rebounds and Jamiu Akinbile added 18 points and 11 rebounds as Long Beach (3-2) picked up a 93-89 overtime victory over Santa Ana (2-2). D’Caran Anderson had 20 points and Cameron High added 17 points in the loss for Santa Ana.

Moorpark, CA – Glendale 91 Moorpark 76

Richard Hollinger Jr had 19 points and Jordan Matthews added 19 points as Glendale (2-1) picked up a 91-76 win over Moorpark (0-3). Cole Micek had 21 points and Justice De Corsi added 17 points in the loss for the Raiders.
