So Cal Juco Fall Jamboree begins on Friday

The Socal Juco Fall Jamboree kicks off on Friday afternoon at Cerritos College/Long Beach City College as 53 teams will take part in the three day event. 45 out of the 50 teams from Southern California including state runner up San Diego City College will highlight the field. The Knights coming off a 33-3 season will have a brand new look as San Diego lost key pieces to a squad that lost in the championship to City College of San Francisco. Cerritos College, which won 27 games a year ago and made a Final Four appearance will be in action Saturday and Sunday as the Falcons will face Chabot and Saddleback on Saturday afternoon and follow that up with games against Copper Mountain and Santiago Canyon on Sunday. Allan Hancock will take part at the three day event, as the Bulldogs are coming off a 23 win season and an appearance at the Final Four last season. The Santa Maria based program will be in action Friday evening as the Bulldogs will face Fullerton and Copper Mountain. Hancock will face Bakersfield and Long Beach City College on Saturday morning to complete their four game weekend. East Los Angeles, Citrus, Ventura, Fullerton, San Bernardino and 12 other teams that made the post season from Southern California will be in action at the three day event. Eight Northern California teams including three that made the post season from a year ago will also be playing down south this weekend. College of the Sequoias which won 21 games a year ago and lost in the sweet 16, will face off against Southwestern and Saddleback on Friday afternoon in first day action. Las Positas and West Hills will be making appearances in Southern California after making the post season a year ago.
