San Francisco stays at the top of week 13 rankings

Northern California Rankings Week 13


1. San Francisco (22-1) The Rams continue to roll and have won eighteen straight games since losing to Sequoias and remain at the top spot in Northern California. San Francisco picked up wins against Skyline and Ohlone and hold a one game lead in the Coast North Conference. The Rams have a 7-1 record against teams that are ranked and this week in our weekly rankings. This week, San Francisco will take on Chabot at home and follow that up with a road game against 7th ranked Foothill in Coast North Conference action.

2. Fresno (20-3) The Rams are playing great basketball as Fresno has won fourteen straight games and remain undefeated in Central Valley Conference action. Fresno remained dominant in conference action last week steam rolling past Merced and Cerro Coso while dropping 140 points on both teams. The Rams have scored 100 points or more in four of their last five games and have a 8-3 record against teams ranked within our rankings. This week the Rams will look to put a choke hold in conference as Fresno will host 12th ranked Sequoias on Wednesday and follow that up with another home game against 8th ranked Columbia on Saturday.

3. Butte (18-3) The Roadrunners continue to play solid basketball as Butte has won seven straight games and remain at number three in the rankings. Last week, Butte cruised past Lassen in their only game of the week and the Roadrunners are 5-2 against teams that are ranked this season in our weekly rankings. This week, the Roadrunners will look to stay undefeated in Golden Valley Conference action as Butte will travel to Redwoods on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against 11th ranked Shasta on Saturday.

4. Yuba (18-5)  The 49ers remain at number four in the rankings and continue to roll as Yuba as won nine straight games. Last week, the 49ers picked up wins against Los Medanos and Solano and remain at the the top of the Bay Valley Conference. Yuba is 3-3 against teams within our weekly rankings and hold a one game lead in the Bay Valley Conference. This week, Yuba will have one game this week as they will host Contra Costa and look to remain in first place.

5. Santa Rosa (18-4) The Bearcubs continue to roll and remain at number five after picking up their fourteenth straight victory last week. Santa Rosa picked up a close win against Folsom Lake and beat San Joaquin Delta and remained undefeated in the Big 8 Conference. Santa Rosa has a 2-2 record against teams ranked within our rankings this season. This week the Bearcubs will have one game as they will face Sacramento on the road on Tuesday evening.

6. Gavilan (19-2) The Rams remain at number six in the rankings after picking up a win last week. Gavilan holds a one game lead in the Coast South Conference and the Rams have a 1-1 record against teams in our weekly rankings. The Rams will look to have a solid week as Gavilan will face West Valley at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against De Anza in Cupertino on Friday evening.

7. Foothill (17-6) The Owls continue to win and are in second place in the Coast North Conference with a 6-1 record. Foothill picked up a win over Chabot last week in their lone game of the week. The Owls are 2-5 against teams that are ranked within our rankings and have played solid basketball in January. This week the Owls will face Las Positas on the road and follow that up with a home game against top ranked San Francisco on Friday evening in a game that could decide the Coast North Conference champion.

8. Columbia (13-5) The Claimjumpers move up one spot in the rankings after picking up two wins last week. Columbia picked up wins against Cerro Coso and Sequoias last week and the Claim Jumpers have won five games in a row in Central Valley Conference action. Columbia has a 5-3 record against teams that are ranked this season and this week the Claimjumpers will face Reedley on Wednesday at home and follow that up with a conference showdown on the road against 2nd ranked Fresno.

9. West Hills (15-4) The Falcons move up one spot in the rankings after going 2-0 in conference action last week. West Hills won two games by a combined total of four points edging Sequoias and Reedley last week each by two points. West Hills is 2-2 against teams that are ranked within our rankings this week and this season and the Falcons are two games behind in Central Valley Conference action. This week, the Falcons will face Merced on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Porterville.

10. Modesto (15-7) The Pirates move up one spot in the rankings after picking up a win last week and winning their fifth straight game. Modesto edged Diablo Valley last week in their lone contest and the Pirates have a 1-4 record against teams within our weekly rankings. This week, the Pirates will face San Joaquin Delta tomorrow in Stockton and follow that up with another road game against Sierra on Friday in Big 8 Conference action this week.

11. Sequoias (14-8) The Giants drop three spots in the rankings after losing against two ranked opponents last week. Sequoias suffered losses on the road against West Hills and Columbia and dropped out of contention for the Central Valley Conference championship. The Giants have a 4-5 record against teams that are ranked within our weekly rankings. This week, Sequoias will be in action twice as they will face 2nd ranked Fresno on Wednesday in their fourth straight road game and follow that up with a home game against Merced at home on Saturday night.

12.Shasta (14-9) The Knights move up two spots in the rankings after winning two games last week. Shasta picked up wins against Redwoods and Siskiyous and remain in the Golden Valley Conference championship race. Shasta is 3-4 against teams that are ranked within our rankings and the Knights have four games remaining. This week, Shasta will face Lassen on Wednesday at home and follow that up with a huge game on the road against 3rd ranked Butte.

13. Canada (13-10) The Colts come into the rankings after two wins last week in Coast North Conference action. Canada picked up wins against Chabot and Skyline and are in 3rd place in the conference. Canada is 0-7 against tams ranked in our weekly rankings this season. This week, Canada will face Ohlone on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with another road game against Las Positas on Friday evening.

14. Cabrillo (12-9) The Seahawks come into the rankings after winning two games last week to move their winning streak up to five games. Cabrillo picked up wins against West Valley and Hartnell and are a game behind Gavilan in the Coast South Conference standings. Cabrillo has a 3-6 record against teams that are ranked in our weekly rankings. This week, the Seahawks will face San Jose on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with another road game against Monterey on Friday night in conference action.

15. Mendocino (14-8) The Eagles come into the rankings for the first time this season after picking up two wins last week. Mendocino picked up wins against Marin and Napa Valley and have won three straight games. Mendocino has a 2-2 record against teams that are ranked within our weekly rankings this season. This week, Mendocino will face Merritt at home in their lone game of the week.
