San Bernardino goes to Arizona

3rd ranked San Bernardino Valley College coming off winning the College of the Sequoias Tournament will travel to Arizona to participate at the Mesa Fiesta Bowl Junior College Shootout for the next three days. The Wolverines which have two losses on the season will start first round action at 4pm on Saturday against Salt Lake Community College (13-0). Salt Lake is undefeated on the season and is led by”6-7″ guard Desean Parsons and “6-7” sophomore forward Blake Wilkinson. Parsons leads the team in scoring and is originally from San Francisco, California is averaging 13.8 points and 4.8 rebounds this season. Salt Lake Community College roster also features two seven footers and will look to stay undefeated facing San Bernardino. San Bernardino is led by Kyle Benton and Charles Callison. Benton is averaging 14.9 points per game and 8.4 rebounds for the Wolverines.and Callison averages 14.1 points per game on the season. The Wolverines will take a five game winning streak into tournament. The Mesa Fiesta Bowl Shootout will feature eight teams and each team will play three games. Other teams at the Tournament will be Central Arizona, Midland College (Texas), Williston State (North Dakota), Mesa (Arizona), Ranger College (Texas), and Monroe College (New York). San Bernardino will play either the winner/loser between Midland and Central Arizona.
