Rams on top of week 15 Northern California rankings

Signal The Light Basketball Week 15 Northern California Rankings


1. San Francisco (24-1): The Rams stay at the top once again going into the last week of the regular season after picking up a win last week in Coast North Conference action. San Francisco remained undefeated in conference action picking up a huge 94-65 victory over Las Positas to move two games ahead with three games to go. The Rams have won 10 straight games and have posted a 11-1 record against teams that are ranked inside of our rankings this season. San Francisco will be in action twice this week as the Rams will face Chabot at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Ohlone for their season finale.

2. Fresno (23-3): The hottest team in the state continue to roll and remain at number two in Northern California following two wins last week in Central Valley Conference action. Fresno picked up a 50-48 road win over Columbia and followed that up with another road victory over Porterville 81-77 as the Rams clinched their 18th straight conference title. Fresno has now won 21 games straight and the Rams have posted a 8-3 record against teams within our week 15 rankings. This week, the Rams have two games this week as Fresno will host Merced on Wednesday and end the regular season against Reedley on Saturday.

3. Gavilan (24-2): The Rams remain at third in Northern California following another two wins last week in Coast South Conference action. Gavilan went on the road and beat De Anza 99-76 and followed that up with a 88-74 home win against Monterey Peninsula to remain undefeated and clinch at least at least a conference share of the title. Gavilan has won ten straight games and the Rams have posted a 5-2 record against teams that are ranked within our week 15 rankings. Gavilan will close out the season with two games this week as the Rams with a home game against West Valley on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game to close out the season against San Jose on Friday.

4. Yuba (23-4): The Bay Valley Conference champions remain at number four in the rankings following a two win week. Yuba picked up a 67-62 win over Mendocino on the road and followed that up with a 81-60 home win over Napa Valley in their two games last week. Yuba has won 12 straight games and the 49ers clinched the Bay Valley Conference championship and have posted a 3-1 record against teams that are ranked within our week 15 rankings. This week, the 49ers will have one game as Yuba closes out the regular season with a road game against Contra Costa.

5. San Joaquin Delta (22-5): The Mustangs move up one spot in the rankings and move into the top 5 for the first time this season after picking up two wins last week. Delta picked up a 87-57 win over American River on the road and followed that up with a 89-63 win over Diablo Valley winning their 14th straight game. Delta has clinched the Big 8 Conference championship and has posted a 6-5 record against teams that are ranked within our week 15 rankings. Delta has one game left and will face Sacramento in their regular season finale on Friday to close out the season.

6. Cabrillo (19-6): The Seahawks move up one spot in the rankings after picking up a win last week in Coast South Conference action. Cabrillo picked up a 70-63 home win over De Anza and the Seahawks have won six of their last seven games. The Seahawks have posted a 4-6 record against teams ranked within our week 15 rankings this season. This week, Cabrillo will face off against Monterey later today and follow that up with a road game against West Valley on Friday to end the regular season.

7. Las Positas (20-5): The Hawks drop two spots in the rankings following a loss last week in Coast North Conference action. Las Positas suffered a huge 94-65 loss against top ranked San Francisco in a battle of the two best teams in Coast North Conference action The loss dropped the Hawks two games behind the Rams and Las Positas has posted a 3-4 record against teams that are ranked inside of our week 15 rankings. This week, the Hawks will have two games to close out the regular season as Las Positas will face Skyline on Wednesday on the road on follow that up with a road game against 11th ranked Canada on Friday.

8. Sequoias (18-8): The Giants move up two spots in the rankings after posting a win last week in Central Valley Conference action. Sequoias won their fourth straight game after picking up a 72-57 win over West Hills-Coalinga in their lone game of the week. Sequoias is in a second place tie in conference action and the Giants have a 3-6 record against teams ranked within our rankings this season. This upcoming week the Giants will close out the regular season with a road game against Cerro Coso on Wednesday and face off against 10th ranked Columbia in a huge game with seeding complications on the line on Saturday in Sonora.

9. Butte (14-11): The Roadrunners crack the top 10 and move up two spots in the rankings after having the week off. Butte has won four straight games and the Roadrunners have posted a 1-5 record against teams that are ranked inside of our Signal The Light Basketball rankings. Butte has two games this week as the Roadrunners will face Redwoods on Wednesday and close out the regular season on Friday against 15th ranked Lassen to close out Golden Valley Conference action.

10. Columbia (20-6): The Claimjumpers drop two spots in the rankings after having a 1-1 record in Central Valley Conference action. Columbia suffered a 50-48 loss against Fresno and followed that up with a 82-71 win over Reedley as the Claimjumpers are in a tie in for second place in conference action with two games to go. Columbia has posted a 3-5 record against teams that are ranked within our week 15 Signal The Light Basketball rankings. This upcoming week the Claimjumpers will be in action twice as Columbia will face Porterville at home on Wednesday and play their regular season finale at home on Saturday against 8th ranked Sequoias in a huge conference battle.

11. Canada (20-7): The Colts move up one spot in the rankings following three wins last week in Coast North Conference action. Canada picked up a 73-60 win on the road against Foothill, a 78-70 home win against Ohlone and followed that up with a 72-68 road win against Skyline to move to 7-4 in conference action. Canada has won five of their last six games and the Colts have a 4-6 record against teams that are ranked within our week 15 Signal The Light Basketball rankings. This week, the Colts have one game as Canada will face 7th ranked Las Positas at home on Friday in their regular season finale.

12. Santa Rosa (19-7): The Bearcubs drop three spots in the rankings after a 1-1 week in Big 8 Conference action. Santa Rosa suffered a 64-51 loss against Sierra but got back on track with a 86-81 road win against American River to stay in second place in conference action. Santa Rosa is 4-1 in their last five games and the Bearcubs have a 5-4 record against teams ranked within our rankings. This week, the Bearcubs will have two games as the regular season winds down as Santa Rosa will face Diablo Valley at home tomorrow night and follow that up with a road game against Folsom Lake on Friday to close out the regular season.

13. Los Medanos (17-9): The Mustangs remain at number 13 in the rankings after picking up two wins last week in Bay Valley Conference action. Los Medanos picked up a 94-80 win over Alameda and followed that up with a 91-68 win over Mendocino as the Mustangs picked up their fifth straight win. Los Medanos is currently in 2nd place in conference and the Mustangs have posted a 2-4 record against teams within our rankings this season. This week, Los Medanos will be in action twice as the Mustangs will face Napa Valley on Wednesday and close out the regular season with a home game against Contra Costa on Friday.

14. Cosumnes River (15-12): The Hawks come back into the rankings after picking up two wins last week in Big 8 Conference action. Cosumnes River picked up a 82-74 win over Modesto and followed that up with a 88-85 win over Sierra on the road. The Hawks are a 1/2 game behind Santa Rosa for 2nd place in conference action and Cosumnes River have a 2-5 record against teams that are ranked within our rankings this season. This week the Hawks will have one game as Cosumnes River will face American River tomorrow night in their season finale at home.

15. Lassen (13-10): The Cougars come into our weekly rankings after picking up a win last week in Golden Valley Conference action. Lassen picked up a 94-93 win over Siskiyous as the Cougars have won four straight games and are in second place in conference action. Lassen has had an up and down season and the Cougars have a 1-4 record against teams that are ranked within our rankings this season. This week, the Cougars will have three games as Lassen will face Redwoods tonight on the road and follow that up with a home game against Shasta on Wednesday and end their regular season with a home game against 9th ranked Butte on Friday.
