Marauders win Mira Costa Tournament Championship

In the final day of the Mira Costa Tournament, 12th ranked Antelope Valley (12-6) took home the championship with a 77-75 win over unranked Bakersfield (13-8). Antone Warren led the Marauders with 20 points and 7 rebounds and D’Muria Jones added 16 points in the win for Antelope Valley. Shane Christie had 19 points and 6 rebounds and Jalylunn English added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the loss for the Renegades. In the third place game, Tim Strijaous had 17 points and 4 rebounds and Takoda Browne added 11 points and 6 rebounds as 13th ranked San Diego Miramar (14-5) picked up a 69-51 win over tournament host Mira Costa (10-9). Daymarcco Green had 18 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for the Spartans. In the consolation final, Robert McCoy had 22 points and 8 rebounds and Jahmere Mitchell added 14 points and 6 rebounds as 4th ranked San Diego (16-5) picked up a 96-72 win over Los Angeles Pierce (6-10). Kelton Conway had 22 points and Brandon White added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the loss for Los Angeles Pierce.

Alameda, CA – Alameda 76 Napa 75

Devin Rhodes had 19 points and Kristian Ziak added 17 points as Alameda (2-11, 1-3) picked up a 76-75 win over Napa (3-10, 1-2). Trent Rojas had 22 points and Deangelo Gomez added 14 points in the loss for the Storm.

San Pablo, CA – Contra Costa 86 Solano 65

Kolman Kelly had 22 points and Demar Dunn added 19 points and 8 rebounds as Contra Costa (5-10, 3-1) picked up a 86-65 win over Solano (6-8, 1-2).

Ty Alcorn had 31 points and 6 rebounds and Tim Jordan added 23 points and 11 rebounds as Merritt (3-9, 2-1) picked up a 80-78 win over Mendocino (1-12, 0-4). Ron Turkvan had 42 points and Joe Barnes added 18 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

Caleb Baskett had 22 points and Keith Hunter added 20 points as 3rd ranked Las Positas (15-2, 1-0) won their seventh straight game with a 75-73 win over 11th ranked Foothill (10-6, 0-1) to open up conference action. Mikael Willie had 16 points and Alex Gil-Fernandez added 15 points in the loss for the Owls.
