Cuyamaca Tournament

In the first semi final at the Cuyamaca Tournament, Roderick Williams went off for 27 points and Solomon Hunt added 14 points as 2nd ranked East Los Angeles (11-3) advanced to the championship game with a 82-68 win over Antelope Valley (9-7). Osi Nwachukwu had 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Julian Payton added 15 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds in the loss for the Marauders.

In the second semi final of the night, Cerro Coso (4-6) won their third straight game and advanced to the championship game with a 89-86 overtime win over Victor Valley (9-5). Cerro Coso will take on East Los Angeles in the championship game, while Victor Valley will face Antelope Valley in the 3rd place game tomorrow.

In the consolation bracket at the Cuyamaca Tournament, Brennon Palmer was 3 of 3 from downtown and scored a career high of 38 points and Hayden Moore added 12 points as Cypress (6-8) advanced to the consolation championship with a 79-70 win over San Diego Mesa (3-12). Joseph Davis had 24 points and Armstrong Ojunkwu added 20 points in the loss for the Olympians who lost their tenth straight game.

In the second consolation semi final, 4th ranked San Diego Miramar (10-3) won their tenth game of the season with a 77-54 win over Cuyamaca (0-13). The Jets will face off against Cypress in the consolation final tomorrow.

Allan Hancock Tournament

In the semi finals of the Hancock Tournament, Josh Wilson-Murry had 15 points and Noah Saunders added 14 points and 8 rebounds as Cuesta (9-8) continued to stay hot with a 60-57 win over Palomar (9-6). Matt Meyers had 15 points and 9 rebounds and Jamario Harris added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for the Comets.

In the second semi final, Isiah Davis had 24 points and Lamont Banks added 13 points and 3 rebounds as Merritt (6-7) advanced to the championship game with a 69-67 win over tournament host Allan Hancock (9-6). Shane Carney had 18 points and 6 assists and Devin Davis added 13 points and 12 rebounds in the loss for the Bulldogs. Merritt will take on Cuesta in the championship tomorrow, and Hancock will battle Palomar in the 3rd place game in the final day at the event.

In the consolation bracket, Shahadah Camp had 22 points and 12 rebounds, and Tucker Eenigenburg added 22 points and 4 rebounds as Bakersfield (7-5) cruised past San Jose 78-57. Kameron Vales had 16 points and 3 assists and Kobe Foster added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for San Jose (3-10).

In the second game on the consolation side, Stephen Northington had 27 points and 13 rebounds and Jordan Gilmente produced 21 points and 7 rebounds as Chabot (2-12) got past Los Angeles Southwest 98-97 in triple overtime to advance to the consolation final tomorrow against Bakersfield. D’Lano Beckles had 25 points and 8 rebounds, and Dionbrea Norris added a double double with 16 points and 14 rebounds in the loss for Los Angeles Southwest (6-9).

Canyons Tournament

In the championship game of the Canyons Tournament, Joshua Davis had 33 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and Kupaa Harrison added 20 points and 7 rebounds as Orange Coast (9-6) cruised past Los Angeles Trade Tech 93-73 to bring home the championship. Maurice West had 22 points and Antonio Monroe added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for Los Angeles Trade Tech (4-9).

In the consolation final, Richard Oryem had 29 points and Cameron Bradley added 23 points and 7 rebounds as 11th ranked Ohlone (10-7) picked up a 88-81 win over Canyons (6-10) to bring home the consolation championship. Michael Kalu had 24 points and Frankie Campbell added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for the Cougars.

Siskiyous Tournament

In Northern California, Lane picked up a 97-81 victory over Siskiyous (1-12). Justin Gaines had 24 points and Jonny Lopez added 17 points in the loss for the Eagles.

In other action UMPQUA cruised past Shasta 105-77.

Big 8 

Rocklin, CA – Sierra 63 American River 62

Josh Gonzalez made a game winning three pointer and had 18 points and Kenny Olsem added 16 points and 8 rebounds as Sierra (7-6, 2-0) stayed in a first place tie with a 63-62 win over American River (3-8, 0-2).

Santa Rosa, CA – (8) Santa Rosa 102 Folsom Lake 81

8th ranked Santa Rosa (9-4, 2-0) picked up a 102-81 win over Folsom Lake to win their fifth straight game. Isiah Maun made seven three pointers and had 29 points and Zethan Dumpson added 27 points in the loss for Folsom Lake (1-10, 0-2).

Stockton, CA – San Joaquin Delta 79 (14) Sacramento 77 (OT)

John Berna had 21 points and Elijah Johnson added 14 points as San Joaquin Delta (4-6, 1-0) won their third straight game picking up a 79-77 overtime win over 14th ranked Sacramento (9-6, 1-1). Troy Owens had 21 points and Jhlaen Lumpkins added 16 points in the loss for the Panthers.

Wilmington, CA – (13) Los Angeles Harbor 63 (9) Grossmont 59

Culver City, CA – Moorpark 71 (10) West Los Angeles 62

Cole Micek had 19 points and Elijah Holts added 14 points and 7 rebounds as Moorpark (5-9) went on the road and upset 10th ranked West Los Angeles 71-62 in non conference action. Trevor Blackmon had 18 points and 6 rebounds and Eddie Hughes added 12 points in the loss for West Los Angeles (11-5).

Irvine, CA – (14) Irvine Valley 62 Los Angeles Valley 58

Parker Sims had 18 points and 14 rebounds and Daniel Hernandez added 16 points and 4 assists as 14th ranked Irvine Valley (11-6) picked up a 62-58 win over Los Angeles Valley (3-11) in non conference action. Christian Morataya had 19 points and 4 rebounds and Elijah Bonds added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the loss for the Monarchs.

Matt McAndrews had 26 points and Alex Gil-Fernandez added 19 points as 9th ranked Foothill (11-5) picked up a 78-62 non conference road win over Hartnell (8-5).
