Knights still shining at top spot in Southern California

Southern California Week 13 Rankings

1. San Diego (24-2) The Knights remain the top team in Southern California after going 2-0 last week. San Diego remains undefeated in conference action and have a 17 game winning streak after picking up wins against Imperial Valley and San Diego Mesa last week. The Knights are 10-2 against teams that are ranked within our rankings. This week, San Diego will face Cuyamaca on the road on Friday in thier lone game of the week.

2. Citrus (22-3) The Owls remain at the second spot in the rankings after picking up two wins last week. Citrus picked up wins against Antelope Valley and Barstow and have won eight straight games and the Owls are undefeated in Western State East Conference action. The Owls are 4-3 against teams within our rankings and this week Citrus will face Los Angeles Valley on the road on Saturday for their lone game of the week.

3. San Bernardino (21-4) The Wolverines remain at number three in the rankings following two wins last week. San Bernardino picked up wins against San Diego Miramar and Mt. San Jacinto to remain undefeated in conference action and the Wolverines have won eight straight games. San Bernardino is 9-1 against teams that are ranked within our rankings this season. This week the Wolverines will face Palomar on the road on Friday night in their lone game of the week.

4. Cerritos (19-4) The Falcons remain at number four in the rankings after going 2-0 last week in conference action. Cerritos picked up wins against Los Angeles Southwest and Los Angeles Harbor and have won five straight games. Cerritos is 4-4 against teams that are ranked within our rankings this season. This week, the Falcons will face Long Beach at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against El Camino on Friday night.

5. East Los Angeles (18-5) The Huskies remain at number five after going 2-0 last week. East Los Angeles picked up wins against Rio Hondo and Los Angeles Trade Tech to edge closer to the 20 win mark. This season the Huskies have a 2-3 record against teams within our rankings. This week East Los Angeles will face 7th ranked Chaffey on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with another road game against Pasadena on Friday in conference action.

6. Fullerton (16-6) The Hornets remain at the sixth spot after picking up a win last week. Fullerton cruised past Santa Ana in their lone game last week in Orange Empire Conference action. Fullerton is 6-6 against teams that are ranked within our rankings and have playe solid basketball all season. This week, the Hornets will have two games as  Fullerton will face Irvine Valley on Wednesday at home and follow that up with a road game against 14th ranked Saddleback in conference action.

7. Chaffey (16-7) The Panthers continue to win and remain at number seven in the rankings this week. Last week, Chaffey picked up wins against Los Angeles Trade Tech and Pasadena as the Panthers are undefeated in South Coast South conference action. Chaffey is 2-5 against teams that are ranked inside of our rankings this season. This week, the Panthers will face 5th ranked East Los Angeles at home on Wednesday and follow that up with another home game against Mt. San Antonio on Friday for their games this week.

8. Grossmont (15-7) The Griffins move up one spot in the rankings after going 2-0 last week. Grossmont picked up wins against Cuyamaca and Southwestern and remained a game out of first place in the Pacific Coast South Conference. This season, Grossmont has an 0-6 record against teams that are ranked within our rankings. This week the Griffins will face San Diego Mesa in their lone game of the week in conference action.

9. Santiago Canyon (17-6) The Hawks move up one spot in the rankings after picking up two wins last week in Orange Empire Conference action. Last week, Santiago Canyon picked up wins against Santa Ana and Riverside in their two games. Santiago Canyon is 4-3 against teams that are ranked within our rankings this season. The Hawks will face 12th ranked Copper Mountain on Wednesday on the road and face 11th ranked Orange Coast on the road on Friday in their two games this week.

10. Orange Coast (15-7) The Pirates move up three spots in the rankings after picking up another two wins in conference action. The leaders of the Orange Empire Conference picked up wins against Copper Mountain and Irvine Valley for their sixth win in a row. Orange Coast is 4-2 against teams that are ranked this season within our rankings and have a 6-4 record with games that are decided by 5 points or less. This week, the conference leaders will face Cypress on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against 9th ranked Santiago Canyon on Friday evening.

11. Copper Mountain (17-7) The Fighting Cacti drop three spots in the rankings after going 1-1 last week in conference action. Copper Mountain suffered a two point loss to Orange Coast and followed that up with a win against Cypress in Orange Empire Conference play. The Fighting Cacti are 4-5 against teams that are ranked within our weekly rankings. This week, Copper Mountain will face 9th ranked Santiago Canyon at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Irvine Valley on Friday night.

12. Ventura (16-7) The Pirates remain in the same spot in the rankings after picking up two wins last week. Ventura beat Oxnard and cruised past Santa Barbara as the Pirates remained undefeated in Western State North Conference action. Ventura has a 3-4 record against our ranked teams in our Signal The Light Basketball rankings this season. This week, the Pirates will face Cuesta on the road on Wednesday night and follow that up with another road game in Santa Maria against Allan Hancock on Saturday.

13. San Diego Miramar (16-7) The Jets drop two spots in the rankings after going 1-1 last week. Miramar lost against San Bernardino but followed it up with a win against Mira Costa. Miramar has a 3-4 record against teams that are ranked this season. This upcoming week, the Jets will take on Mt. San Jacinto at home on Friday in their lone game of the week.

14. Saddleback (12-10) The Gauchos move up one spot in the rankings after picking up a win last week in Orange Coast Conference action. Last week, Saddleback picked up a win against Cypress in their lone game of the week and the Gauchos are 4-2 in conference action. Saddleback is 2-5 against teams that are ranked within our rankings this season and the Gauchos will face off against Santa Ana on Wednesday on the road and follow that up with a home game against 6th ranked Fullerton at home on Friday.

15. Long Beach (14-9) The Vikings come into the rankings for the first time this season after going 2-0 last week. Long Beach picked up wins against El Camino and Los Angeles Southwest and the Vikings are 5-1 in their last six games. Long Beach is 1-3 against teams that are ranked within our rankings this season. This week, the Vikings will face 4th ranked Cerritos on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Compton on Friday.
