Teams: (11) Feather River (4-0), Napa Valley (0-6), Sacramento (4-3), (13) Reedley (1-0), Siskiyous (0-9), Cosumnes River (3-3), Merced (2-4), (2) Las Positas (4-0). 

Eight teams from Northern California and three undefeated teams in our Signal The Light Basketball Northern California rankings will take part at the three day event beginning on Thursday. The three day event will begin at 2pm as 2nd ranked Las Positas (4-0) will face off against Merced (2-4). The Hawks come into the game winning all four games they have had this season as Las Positas in ranked second in our week four rankings. Las Positas has not had a game since November 10th but in the Hawks last outing, they picked up a huge road win against Cabrillo. Meanwhile, the Blue Devils will look to pick up a first round win over the Coast North undefeated team. Merced has lost three games in a row after beating Monterey on November 3rd. Merced has since lost games against Hartnell twice and Monterey as well.

In the second match up of the day, 11th ranked Feather River (4-0) will look to pick up their fifth win in a row as the Golden Eagles will face off against winless Napa Valley (0-6). The Golden Eagles return to action after picking up a win against Marin last week at home 72-64. Feather River has not faced a team this season with a winning record and seem to be the favorites in the first round match up against the Storm. Napa comes into the game on a six game losing streak and the Storm have lost three of those six games against teams ranked within our Signal The Light Basketball rankings. In their last outing the Storm lost to Copper Mountain at the Hancock Tournament.

In the third game of first day action, Siskiyous (0-9) will look to end their nine game losing streak against tournament host Cosumnes River (3-3). The Eagles are 0-4 against teams ranked inside our Signal The Light Basketball rankings and have started the season winless in nine games. The tournament host Hawks, will look to pick up their third straight win after winning the consolation championship at the John Hogue Memorial Classic hosted by Mendocino. Cosumnes River picked up wins against Redwoods and Lassen at the tournament and the Hawks have won three of their last four games after losing their first two games of the season. The winner/loser of this game will face the winner/loser of Last Positas and Merced on day two action.

In the final game of the day, Sacramento (4-3) will face 13th ranked Reedley (1-0) in first round action. The Panthers are on a two game winning streak and have won three of their last four games. Sacramento is 1-1 against teams that our in Signal The Light Basketball rankings as the Panthers lost against Mendocino by 2 points and picked up a win against Lassen. The 13th ranked Tigers come into the game having only played one game and Reedley picked up a win on the road against Modesto. Reedley has not stepped on the court since November 6th and the Tigers have not had a game in 23 days. It should be a solid first round match up between the two teams as the winner/loser of this match up will face the winner/loser of 11th ranked Feather River and Napa Valley.
