In the final day of the Cuyamaca Tournament, 5th ranked East Los Angeles (10-3) cruised to the championship with a 88-55 victory over Antelope Valley (6-9).
In the 3rd place game, Mike Magee had 32 points and Kameron Barnes added 20 points as Cypress (11-4) continued their strong play with a 93-57 win over Cuyamaca (2-14).
In the 5th place game of the Cuyamaca Tournament, Aren Thomas had 24 points as San Diego Mesa (3-12) picked up a 79-64 win over Victor Valley (7-8). Alton Thompson had 23 points and Jamain Owens added 19 points in the loss for the Rams.
In the 7th place game, Santa Ana (6-9) picked up a 85-77 win over 8th ranked San Diego Miramar (10-5).
In final day action in Santa Maria, Sherab Nyima made four three pointers and scored a game high of 19 points and Joe Okitukunda added 11 points and 4 rebounds as Merritt (7-7) slipped past Los Angeles Southwest 67-63 on Sunday afternoon. Adbou Gueyer had 16 points and 8 rebounds and Travis Raynor added 15 points in the loss for Los Angeles Southwest (5-8).
In the second game, Iker Cruz had 14 points and 8 rebounds and Josh Wilson-Murry added 12 points and 10 rebounds as Cuesta (12-4) picked up a 56-40 win over Palomar (6-9). Jamario Harris had 10 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for the Comets.
In the tournament finale, Grant Johnson had 19 points and Will Silmon added 13 points and 5 rebounds as 3rd ranked Allan Hancock (13-2) cruised past San Jose 89-66 on Sunday afternoon. Jared Bailey had 29 points and Shandan Fields added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the loss for San Jose (0-14).
Los Altos Hills, CA – (5) Santa Rosa 75 Foothill 66
Skylar Chavez had 37 points and Ryan Perez added 16 points as 5th ranked Santa Rosa (11-3) won their fourth straight game with a 75-66 win over Foothill (6-8). Jamar Gaddis had 15 points in the loss for the Owls.
Hayward, CA – Folsom Lake 67 Chabot 56
Zethan Dumpson had 21 points and Matt Lyon added 18 points as Folsom Lake (5-9) went on the road and picked up a 67-56 win over Chabot (7-8). Koby Charles had 20 points and Isaiah Ali added 12 points and 4 assists in the loss for the Gladiators.
