It was a busy Wednesday night in California Junior College basketball as conference action heated up. Allan Hancock moved to 3-0 in Western State North Conference action with a win over Ventura Wednesday night. In other action, Antelope Valley took over sole possession of first place in the Western State South Conference with a victory over West Los Angeles. Mira Costa won their fifth game in a row and have a 1/2 game lead over second place Palomar with a victory over Mt. San Jacinto. Elsewhere, Columbia topped Reedley to move a 1/2 game in front of Fresno in the Central Valley Conference. In other action in Northern California, Butte moved to the top of the Golden Valley Conference with a victory over Siskiyous.
WESTERN STATE NORTH CONFERENCE
In Western State North Conference action on Wednesday, Allan Hancock (8-9, 3-0) picked up a home victory over Ventura 71-56. Arinze Anakwenze and Kadeem Minor each scored 16 points for the Bulldogs in the victory. Vondel Faniel had 14 pointsand 10 rebounds in the loss for Ventura (7-11, 0-2). Cuesta (12-7, 2-1) came up with a one point win at home 64-63 over Los Angeles Pierce (10-10, 2-1). Tayler Thompson had 16 points and 7 rebounds and Rafael Casanova added 15 points for the Cougars in the win. In other action, Moorpark (11-9, 1-2) picked up their first conference victory over Santa Barbara 84-60. Joshua Brooks had 23 points and Larry Bush added 18 points for Moorpark in the victory. Sean Keyes led Santa Barbara (4-10, 0-2) with 13 points in the loss.
COAST NORTH CONFERENCE
In Coast North action on Wednesday, 15th ranked Skyline (13-4, 1-2) upended 2nd ranked Ohlone 68-63. Ryo Tawatari had 29 points and Mike Bethea added 13 points for Ohlone (14-5, 1-1) in the loss. In other action Foothill (9-10, 2-1) moved into a three way tie for first place with a 75-72 win over 7th ranked San Francisco (13-6, 2-1). Troy Thompson had 15 points and Julian Harrell added 13 points for San Francisco in the loss. Chabot (11-9, 2-1) picked up a win at home against 14th ranked Las Positas 80-69. DeCarlos Frank had 21 points and Yasin Omar added 17 points for Chabot in the win.
WESTERN STATE SOUTH CONFERENCE
In the game of the night in the Western State South Conference 4th ranked Antelope Valley (15-4, 3-0) cruised to a 83-61 victory over 6th ranked West Los Angeles (11-3, 2-1). Shelton Boykin had 21 points and Ismail Ali added 16 points and 6 assist in the win. Ovie Tomakili had 17 points and 11 rebounds in the loss for the Wildcats. In another key game within the conference, 9th ranked Bakersfield (12-5, 2-1) went on the road and knocked off Citrus 68-61. Jameik Riviere had 20 points and 8 assist and David Wooley added 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Renegades in the win. Tyler Lacour had 12 points for Citrus (9-6, 2-1) in the loss. Jordan Brown scored 41 points and Michael Morrissey added 15 points as Los Angeles Valley (7-9, 1-2) beat Canyons 81-72. Coley Apsay had 28 points and 11 rebounds in the loss for Canyons (9-7, 1-2). Santa Monica (6-9, 1-2) overcame a 9 point deficit and beat Glendale 67-58. Ronny Price had 20 points and Brandon Baker added 11 points for Santa Monica in the win. Mitchell West had 18 points for Glendale (1-13, 0-3).
GOLDEN VALLEY CONFERENCE
Butte (12-7, 3-0) picked up another conference win knocking off Siskiyous 73-51 on Wednesday night. Michael Shoemaker had 15 points and Arthur Caldwell added 14 points for Butte in the win. Michael Ferguson and Jerome Lane each had 12 points in the loss for Siskiyous (4-16, 0-2). Jarrell Tate scored 29 points and Nick Longmire added 12 points as Feather River (13-7, 2-1) cruised to a 79-49 victory over Shasta (4-14, 0-3).
In Foothill Conference action 13th ranked Chaffey (14-8, 1-1) picked up their first conference victory with a 99-87 victory over Barstow (3-14, 0-2). Victor Joseph scored 19 points and Donovan Taylor added 16 points for Chaffey in the win. Khleem Perkins had 15 points and Dominique Wilson added 13 points, 12 rebounds and 7 blocks as 2nd ranked San Bernardino (21-2, 2-0) knocked off Rio Hondo (12-8, 0-2) 52-48. Mike Deas had 12 points and 6 rebounds in the loss. In other action, College of the Desert (10-8, 2-0) beat 11th ranked Victor Valley 106-104 in a shootout. Jordan Pellum scored 31 points and Dock Gooch added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the win for Desert. Steve Evans had 24 points in the loss for Victor Valley (14-9, 1-1).
SOUTH COAST NORTH CONFERENCE
3rd ranked Mt. San Antonio (16-1, 2-0) continued to stay hot as the Mounties picked up a 76-65 victory over Los Angeles Trade Tech (3-14, 0-2). Stephaun Branch had 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Shannon Flower added 18 points and 10 rebounds in the win. In the other game of the night, East Los Angeles (9-8, 1-2) ended its five game losing streak with a 85-72 victory over 14th ranked El Camino-Compton Center (11-6, 2-1). Marquis Salmon had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Marcus Romain added 19 points for East Los Angeles in the win. James Boyd had 16 points and 16 rebounds in the loss for El Camino-Compton Center.
CENTRAL VALLEY CONFERENCE
11th ranked Columbia (12-6, 3-0) moved into sole possession of first place with a victory over Reedley 62-56 on Wednesday night. Marquell Hubbard had 23 points and Rafe King added 10 points in the win for Columbia. Top ranked Fresno (18-3, 2-0) topped Porterville 71-50 in action on Wednesday night. James O’Neal paced Fresno with 20 points in the victory. In the other match up of the night, Sequoias (8-11, 1-2) knocked off Merced (1-14, 0-3) on the road 63-51. Chris Ross had 22 points and Brantley Bynum added 18 points and 11 rebounds in the win for the Giants.
Saddleback (20-1, 3-0) won their 15th game in a row with a 61-57 victory over Irvine Valley. Conor Clifford had 17 points and Dusty Baker added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the win. Chris Salas had 14 points in the loss for Irvine Valley (8-9, 1-1). Devasyia Hagger had 18 points and 15 rebounds and Deion Page added 17 points as Orange Coast (4-11, 2-1) beat Riverside 72-67 on the road. Taj Adams had 24 points and 15 rebounds in the loss for Riverside (7-11, 2-1). In other action, Santa Ana (9-8, 1-1) squeaked out a 64-62 victory at home against Fullerton (2-16. 0-3). Chris Kapano had 20 points and 7 rebounds, and Ramez Michail added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Austyn Thompson had 17 points in the loss for Fullerton.
SOUTH COAST SOUTH CONFERENCE
Reggie Fields had 16 points and 9 rebounds, and Justin Cobb added 14 points as Los Angeles Southwest (7-7, 1-2) beat Pasadena 85-82. Jonathan Henderson had 28 points for Pasadena (7-10, 1-2). 5th ranked Long Beach (13-4, 2-0) stayed unbeaten in conference with a 70-67 win over 10th ranked Los Angeles Harbor (9-6, 1-1) in overtime. Elliot Morris had 23 points and 19 rebounds in the loss for Los Angeles Harbor.

3rd ranked San Jose (15-3, 2-0) picked up a home victory 97-83 over Hartnell (4-12, 0-3) Wednesday night. Devonne Nolan had 19 points and Akil Douglas had 16 points and 7 rebounds in the win for the Jaguars. D.J. Rodriguez had 25 points and Kyle Connor added 12 points as De Anza (7-10, 2-1) beat Gavilan 92-71. In other action, West Valley (5-12, 3-0) picked up a victory against Monterey 71-63 to move into sole possession of first place of the Coast South Conference.
PACIFIC COAST SOUTH CONFERENCE
Caleb Singleton scored 20 points and Stacey Lambert added 16 points and 10 rebounds as San Diego (11-7, 2-0) beat San Diego Mesa 83-73. J.J. Coleman had 24 points in the loss for San Diego Mesa (5-11, 1-2). In the other game of the night, Richard Grove scored 21 points and Kevin Windley added 18 points as 8th ranked Southwestern (11-6, 2-0) knocked off Cuyamaca 80-71. Tim Pace had 22 points for Cuyamaca (5-11, 1-2) in the loss.

In Pacific Coast North action, Grossmont (7-9, 1-1) squeaked by San Diego Miramar 63-60. Kaelen Mitchell and Robert Romero each had 13 points for Grossmont in the victory. Drew Peterson had 17 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for San Diego Miramar (4-12, 0-3).15th ranked Mira Costa (11-6, 3-0) won their fifth game in a row with a victory over 7th ranked Mt.
