35th Fullerton Basketball Classic (Walt Simon Tribute)

Teams: (2) Fullerton (1-0), West Hills-Coalinga (0-2), (8) Saddleback, (6) Citrus (1-1), (5) San Diego (2-0), San Diego Mesa.
The 35th Fullerton College Basketball Classic gets underway tomorrow as five teams from Southern California and one team from Northern California take part at the three day event. Four ranked teams in our Signal The Light Basketball rankings will face off at the prestigious tournament at Fullerton College. In first day action later on today, 8th ranked Saddleback opens up their season against 6th ranked Citrus. The Owls are coming off a 85-74 loss against San Diego last weekend at the Knights Invataitonal Tournament. In the second game on day one, West Hills-Coalinga will look to pick up their first win of the season as the Falcons will take on 5th ranked San Diego (2-0). The Falcons suffered two losses last weekend at the Cuesta Tournament losing against Mt. San Jacinto and Cuesta. Meanwhile, San Diego will look to pick up their third straight win to start off the season as the Knights cruised past Barstow and upended Citrus last weekend at home. In the final game on day one, 2nd ranked Fullerton will host San Diego Mesa at 7pm. The Hornets are coming off a 93-73 win over El Camino in their opener last week and will look to move to 2-0 with a win over the Olympians who will be playing thier first game of the season.
Day two will have some very intriguing match ups all day long as San Diego Mesa will take on West Hill-Coalinga in the first game. Both teams will look to possibly pick up thier first wins of the season following their tough match ups on day one. San Diego will take on Saddleback at 5pm and Citrus and Fullerton will battle in the 7pm game on Friday.
The final day of the tournament, West Hills will face Citrus at 1pm, followed by Saddleback and San Diego Mesa at 3pm and tournament host Fullerton will battle San Diego in the final game on Saturday at 5pm.
