Teams: Moorpark (6-4), Rio Hondo (2-8), Santa Monica (5-4), Irvine Valley (3-6), (14) Los Angeles Harbor (5-2), Cypress (5-2), Glendale (2-6), Cuyamaca (1-8).

The Don Johnson Classic gets underway tomorrow as eight teams from Southern California will take part at the the Southern California event.

In the first game of the day at 2pm, Moorpark (6-4) will take on Rio Hondo (2-8) in first round action. The Raiders come into the tournament after finishing 3rd place at the Grossmont Tournament last weekend. Moorpark has won three of their last four games and are 6-2 in their last eight games after losing their first two games. Moorpark will look to stay on track with a win over Rio Hondo in the first game of the tournament tomorrow afternoon. Rio Hondo comes into the game on a two game losing streak after picking up a win over MiraCosta at the Antelope Valley Tournament last weekend. Rio Hondo has struggled to find consistency this season as the Roadrunners have two wins on the season out of ten games.

In the second game of the day, Santa Monica (5-4) will take on Irvine Valley (3-6) at 4pm. The Corsairs come into the winners of three of their last four games as Santa Monica played well at the San Bernardino Tournament last weekend. The Corsairs picked up wins against San Bernardino and Antelope Valley and the Corsairs picked up another win against San Diego on November 17th. The Corsairs are 3-3 against teams ranked inside of our week five Signal The Light Basketball rankings. Meanwhile, Irvine Valley will come into the tournament on a two game losing streak. The Lasers have lost five of their last six games and will look to get back on track after having a rough weekend in Monterey. Irvine Valley is 0-3 against teams that are ranked inside of our rankings and will look to advance to the next round with a win over a solid Santa Monica team.

In the third game, 14th ranked Los Angeles Harbor (5-2) will take on tournament host Cypress (5-2) in first round action. The Seahawks are ranked for the first time this season in our Signal The Light Basketball Southern California rankings. Los Angeles Harbor won all three games at the Mt. San Antonio Tournament and the Seahawks have started off the season winning five of their first seven games. The Seahawks have only faced one ranked team and suffered a loss against Southwestern earlier this season. Tournament host Cypress is off to a solid start as the Chargers have won five out of seven to start the season. Cypress went up north last weekend and won the consolation championship winning two of three at the Monterey Bay Classic. The Chargers have only faced one ranked team this season and will face their first one tomorrow night at 6pm in first round action.

In the final game of the day, Glendale (2-6) will look to pick up a win against Cuyamaca (1-8). The Vaqueros will look to pick up another win after losing in the consolation championship at the West Los Angeles Tournament. Glendale lost to Los Angeles Pierce but picked up a win over Barstow before losing to Los Angeles Valley in the consolation final. Glendale has had a rough start as the Vaqueros have lost 6 of 8 to start the season but will look advance to the next round with a win. The Coyotes come into the game on a two game losing streak and lost last week in their lone game against San Diego Miramar. Cuyamaca has one win on the season and the Coyotes picked up a win against American River at the Irvine Valley Tournament. Cuyamaca will look to pick up their second win of the season with a win over Glendale at 8pm tomorrow.
